    Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting an elite prospect to play at UT, again, I thought I would check in and see if there were any reports how the visit went with Butch Jones...who by the way is from the Great State of Michigan and I've had the pleasure meeting several times as I'm from the West Side of Michigan. And I came across this thread where a UT fan takes jabs a Michigan and the B1G in general and how a different team in the SEC (one might even say a UT rival) won a game and had how a South Carolina DE (some have him as the #1 DLineman in the nation) had a clean hit on a 5'6" 170 pound running back during a game. A bowl game of which UT didn't even play in one this year, if I remember correctly...so yeah...I commented that I found it amusing.

    I'm sorry I got so many of you so worked up today.

    Lol....well.....how'd you like the position of The wolverines during the Rich Rod debacle? Loved your team but disappointed terribly right? Bet you responded in defense to all the slamming trash talk of your beloved team right? Bet you stood your ground knowing they'd improve right? The facts are this: UT fans are driven by success. We have had one of the single winningest programs in history. We play in the toughest conference in the country....hands down! SEC's worst teams tipically rank as good or superior to other conferences when playing outside the SEC. Have we struggled you ask? YES!!!! Have we be disappointed? YES!!!! Are we gonna defend trolls from Michigan or any other schools on this UT board? You better believe it! Are the Vols gonna be at the top again? Absolutely!!!! When it is all said and done...a recruit goes to non SEC schools for only a few possible reasons: 1) from the state or region of the school and was raised a fan. 2) no Sec schools offered them the moon, or they weren't SEC type talent 3) they are afraid of playing in the level of competition that is the SEC, and feel they will get more attention dominating in a conference with lesser competition.

    Add all this up and you'll see the facts are evident. The test of true character and talent is how the BIG 10, PAC 12, Big 12 etc fair when they play the SEC teams. Espn, CBS, Foxsports, NBC, and CBS commentators analysts always use the SEC as the measuring stick for other conferences for a reason! You should be used to it by now!!!!

    Good gosh here we go the 'I have more rings so I'm better' argument. If that's your only argument then you'll lose. By your argument Robert Horry is a better player than Michael Jordan.

    Also FWIW: Vols have the most Pro-Bowlers of any school.

    Why would we leave a conference that we have the second most wins in? Why is a Michigan fan talking smack when the Rich Rod era wasn't that long ago? Remember the last time Michigan played Tennessee in the Citrius bowl? Remember which team hasn't lost 8 games in a regular season and which team has recently? Remember who lost to Appalachian St?

  • Two facts: The only time we have ever played Michigan, we wiped the field with them that day. It has been since you referenced Woodson, so i assume you'll remember that day. Next, i do remember seeing after the season that Michigan had beaten 0 ranked teams this year. Think you can run through our schedule like you have all the thick ankles up there?

    When was the last time Michigan won a title in the BCS era let alone played in the title game? That's right, NEVER!! You might want to check the facts before running your mouth next time. Also, the reason UT plays in the SEC is because we like big-boy football, not the glorified 7-on-7 high school garbage the B1G plays. Also, you need to learn how to count in that conference...

I got in this thread late so I have no idea what your two deleted posts said but the fact that you felt compelled to delete whatever it is you said and request the help of fellow Vols not to let you get banned tells me all I need to know.
