Gruden To Tennessee

Hello, everyone. Disclaimer: I am just the messenger.
South Pitt's coach resigned last night. He has told people I know he is going to be the director of football operations under Jon Gruden.
The Jon Gruden news is slowly trickling out. Jay Graham, Tee Martin, Kevin Steele, Ron Zook, and Dale Jones are possible staff members. Gundy was never offered. I do not believe Strong was offered, either, though there are credible people who disagree with me on that. Hart apparently didn't want Gruden, but the billionaires did. Money always wins.
Jon Gruden is in Knoxville as I type this.
An announcement should be made shortly.

Why in the hell does Tennessee fans want J. Gruden so bad? The guy himself said he HATED the recruiting process. Now if it was me and he was my coach I would want a guy that loved to go in homes and recruit players. Plus the guy may only use it as a buffer before he jumps back to the NFL. I dont see the love fest that is J. Gruden. I think there are alot more viable ACTUAL coaching candidates that UT could hire that actually enjoy what makes CFB go round. (recruiting)

Get over Gruden! He is not, never will be coach at Tennessee. Should not be allowed back in state with the way he played the school into more publicty (money) on his present job. Anybody that don't believe he was offered tons of money, although they may not have been a formal contract, has been hiding under a rock, or living in fantasy land. They always agree in principle on money before a legal contract is offered. He is not coming to Tennessee period. Tennessee fans are part of the problem, we have to be on top to support our teams. We need to be loyal and that will help put our teams on top. Instead of tearing down our coaches and players, no wonder we have a hard time recruiting, some of the recruits read these boards.
