Gruden denies talks with Tennessee on Mike and Mike (ESPN)

    This would only make sense if he were to end up coaching in Cleveland.

    Now that makes a little more sense but that is still a big bet that Gruden would be successful as their coach. But at least that is believable.

  • Evan Woodberry notes the following in his TennesseeBeat piece today. Could be that this is what Gruden was referring to when he said (on Mike and MIke this morning) 'I'm just trying to hang on to the job I've got'.

    "Here's what Mike Florio write:

    It'll be interesting to see how thrilled Tom Coughlin and Mike Shanahan will be about Gruden, who has been linked to the Eagles job, attending Giants or Redskins practices in preparation for next Monday night's game between the two teams. We've got a feeling that either or both coach will tell Gruden to stay away from their respective teams, given that he will potentially be coaching a competitor in less than two months."
