so Al Golden just went on the Dan Lebatard show and was asked directly
"Coach, so you promise you are going to be here next year"
Al Golden replied "Absolutely, yes sir"
I think Fedora is your guys man

I hope you are right, i do not want Golden.. It is nothing against him, or Hurricanes, but, for whatever reason, him and Fedora are two names i just have no liking for at all in relation with the Vols head-coaching opening.

No offense taken. Some of us were skeptical when Golden was hired as well, but we've come to love him down here. Good luck on your coaching search. We definitly know what its like as well.

I think Golden is a great fit for the U, he seems like a truly good person. It is going to be interesting to see what happens to the ACC though.

same here. I really hated what Kiffin did to your program. I have always liked and respected UT and the fan base. Sometimes the small guy ends up being the right guy. Golden definitely had his doubters when he got hired, but he has brought life and energy back to the program. Good luck gents.

I have a really close customer that comes into Starbucks and talks Canes football with me all the time, and he, and myself, were puzzled by Golden. However, he loves Golden now. I think Golden is doing a great job, but my heart still hurts from Lane Kiffin's wife leaving us, so i want a flashy coach, which could lead to exposing my folly.

Haha +1 for the wife comment. I must say, I was as angry as some Tenn. fans were when he left the way he did. Tenn. is too classy for a douche like Kiffin which is why I was elated when his preseason #1 team finished 7-5. I hope he finishes 5-7 next season.
