Hey Dooley supporters

  • Do you feel like he is taking us in the right direction or has your mind changed?

You know, I kind o get the feeling that you actually enjoy watching us struggle just to be a smarmy punk on this board.

Does this make you feel better? Most everybody is probably in agreement now that he needs to go, so why are you so obsessed with arguing with our own fan base?

No I definitely do not enjoy watching us struggle. That's why I feel a change at the top needs to be made. I suffered through the whole game from my seat today in Z11 where I am every game. I get the feeling that people feel if I don't blindly support Dooley I don't know what I'm talking about. It's all good though.

Once again, no I don't feel better at all. I've been slammed continually by people who say Dooley deserves another year. Simply asking if they've changed their minds.

Why do you have to be such a horse's rear? Your act is really wearing thin.

  • When the team plays good and hangs with top ten teams, but lose people say it doesn't matter, he lost. He's still a loser. No moral victories. So Dooley won. It was ugly and we probably should've lost or whatever, but he won. So he's a winner. There's no demoralizing victories. A win is a win. So I still feel the same about Dooley. When he loses to a team he should beat, any of these final games, I'm sure a kit of people will change their mind.

I think it's pretty obvious that almost everybody thinks he needs to go. It's time for the fanbase to unite for once, whoever the new coach is gonna be.

Blindly supporting him isn't good either. I support him, as does most people on here, with facts. Nobody here just says "well I'm sure they know what's best." A lot of things are considered when Dooley is defended.

You've not been slammed too much with a post count of 30 and most of them coming in this thread. Enjoy yourself.

"Old School"! A strong defense wins championships!

  • No, after taking a deep breath, nothing has really changed. The offense is really good, the defense is really bad, I want to see how he handles the Sal situation and what happens next week.

The difference for me is I see no rush in making the decision now. You fire him monday, what do you get?

Awesome....I would love to see some facts supporting Dooley.

    Thanks, that's all I was looking for...has people's opinions changed? Looks like yours hasn't. I've always said a W is a W and a L is a L...good point...+1

You get slammed in the national media if you fire a coach after a win, even a truly ugly win.

Nothing has changed. The AD makes a decision at year's end. If Dooley survives, he fires Sal and hires somebody who can coach defense.

  • The facts that his losses are to some of the best team in the country and he's rebuilding a program, the poor senior classes he's had, etc... These are some of the legitimate reasons for coaches to lose games. But I do understand where people who want Dooley gone are coming from and I that no excuse is ever really a good excuse.

I actually agree with you. I don't think you gain anything by firing a coach in season.

I agree also, nothing to gain in firing him now, we aren't losing recruits, very few committing at this time and if Hart feels he is going to fire him he can be working on the QT on a replacement. It is not like, aside from someone currently not coaching, an announcement would be made as to who the replacement would be.

Yeah I can kind of see this argument. Sal's defense is our biggest issue.

  • A loss is a loss just as a win is a win. Neither is true. When determining how a coach is doing you do actually have to look at more detail in the games. That post earlier was pointing out peoples' bias with that logic. If they say a loss is a loss then they should stick with their logic and say a win is a win. I personally don't believe that when it comes to determining the progress of a program.

It really is hard to defend Sal whenever it seems that his defense has actually gotten worse later in the year. I honestly can't remember a defense doing so bad that it would warrant firing a coach after one year, but if this continues into the last 3 games I could see it happening

    dogassnat

  • I still support Dooley, and will remain a Dooley supporter UNTIL he loses another game this year. If he loses I think he is gone and probably should be if he wins out he stays and should. I think something has to be done with the defense whatever it is just do something.

    Vollogan33

  • Yes. Good post. I just can't turn on a coach that wins a game either.

    dogassnat

  • It a tough call, Fulmer didn't can Clawson and it cost him his job. If Dooley actually thinks this defense is going to improve he's lost his mind.
