    I am an alumni as well but you dont see whinning like this. Would I like the Vols to win? Yes. Would I like them to blow opponents out of the water? Yes. Can that be done right now? Maybe, Maybe not. Look at the stats. 'Year 3' . First time in 4 years we have been up to the 85 scholarship limit. Recruiting since 09 Florida has top 5 recruiting classes since 09 except for one where they finished 12th. Does that hurt? Of course it does. But when you have players get hurt, your star players this year dont have but a few SEC starts between them and a new defense in its 1st year, do you expect them to go undefeated?

    Get real dude.....I am a Dooley fan and have been since he was hired. This was not a 3 year rebuilding job. This was a 5 year rebuilding job. You dont know what is going to happen from game to game. But acting like a little school girl who got pushed down by the bully and crying about it isnt going to get you anywhere. Take your ball and go play somewhere else....

    What in the world are you talking about? You think critiquing the coach of our program is "crying like school girl"? Dooley's recruiting at best has been 7th in the SEC, you want to crow about that? In year 2 he lost to KY with a wr at QB. We just struggled with Akron after punting our single best chance to beat UF in years and guess what? UF will only be better next year and the year after. UGA is #5 and recruiting top 5 in the nation. CDD is not the coach to take us back to competing. The fact is that had LK not quit with the worst timing imaginable, DD wouldnt have even been on the radar. He was a losing coach and frankly, the only guy that would take the job other than Kippy.

    Come guys. Remember the horse came up lame 2 years BEFORE Kiffin even arrived. He just burned the barn down and fired the farrier. This is a very big hole to be climbing out of and frankly I do not think that anyone wanted the job.period. I credit CDD for at least having the brass to take it on. He has to have known that the risks of failure out weighed the opposite by a ton. Who knew that Wilcox would be milque toast in the SEC? I think that Coach Sal has a "fire in his belly" this is good, I am not so sure about Coach Chaney however I am but am arm chair guy with an opinion. I feel that they are working to improve the product as fast as they can. They seem to be wanting to move in a new direction i.e.. a 3 /4 defense and a pick'em up the speed offense. This is where football is moving for competitive edges.

    They game last night was tough to watch I admit. Let's hold the can Dooley talk for Dec. for the sake of the young men on the team.

    This team has no identity. We play by the seat of our pants we try to throw it around then we try to run it. We go no huddle. We switch defenses. This staff is lost. This isn't a secret. A good team runs the ball to set up play action. Plays tough aggressive defense and good special teams. I'm tired of this smoke and mirror crap. This is tenn. Its time for a change. Look at al or lsu that's 2 good football teams. Old school football and guess what it still works.

    Fact. Anything can happen. I hope we win out, but man, we were set up so perfectly to beat UF and our program to step forward and we choked. What makes it worse it sure looked like we crumbled when adversity hit and to me, that's a lack of coaching. If we go to a bowl, I will be there just like I have always been. i will continue to buy tickets, donate to the Tennessee Fund, and fly my VFL flag, but man, can we just win a little bit? Can we not look up at TCU and Northwestern in the rankings? Can we even manage to be ranked at the end of the year?

    Here's a question, Are we ranked when the season is over?

    Hell no we will not be ranked. We will lose to bama sc ms st missri. I say 3 of those are not even close. We are not even close to a good team. That loss to florida did us in. We put everything on that game. We are going backwards from here on out. Oh yea ga will blow us out this week.

    I agree with everything your saying rex. We got a long way to go and it bothers me that some fans are really starting to accept this. We are tn enough said. I live in al and even the al fans want us to get better this conference is better when we are good.
