Starting to get a little windy up here. I think the next two days are gonna be interesting. I'm glad I got to see my Giants win the WS tonight, because I've probably got another 12 -18 hours before my satellite and power are out. Will somebody send me smoke signals to let me know if UT schedules a news conference in the next couple days? : )

One of my wife's employees lives in Northern New Jersey about 2 miles off the beach. She just sent photo's to my wife of the dock where she and her husband keep their sail boat and it is 10-12 feet higher than normal at low tide...and the storm has not hit yet. High tide is at 7 tonight and even though it is an e-mail you can sense the fear from her and she is no shrinking violet. Luckily she and her husband live 75 feet above the beach. We need to really pray for all the folks in danger.

Luckily we live inland about 40 or so miles from the shore. I couldn't imagine owning beach front property at a time like this. Like you said the worst is yet to come. That full moon tonight and the fact that Sandy is still 200 miles away and all the flooding that is already occurring is just ridiculous

J_Willy, where are you located? We're up in Warren County on the NJ/PA border. Starting to get windy now, but I think the worst is a ways off. I grew up in Bound Brook ( right off the Raritan River) and they will unfortunately get flooded again, as they do with every storm. Batten down the hatches, boys!
