I Have Arrived.

  • Many of you are familiar with me: I am Axion Jaxion, also known as Captain Jack. I am a poster who was ousted by a mindless mob at 8thmaxim.com. Any site that puts more importance on an idiotic high schooler than me doesn't deserve my bravado and pomp. I was previously a poster on VolNation.

    I am here to partner with Wes Rucker in making this board the best Tennessee Volunteer athletics message board on the internet. I also hope to spearhead an Off-Topic board.

    Those familiar with me know I bring a wealth of knowledge in several aspects of academia. However, I will be toning down my vocabulary in an attempt to engender good feelings between myself and the members of this board.

    Let's make this happen. I look forward to interesting and entertaining discourse.

  • Don't tone it down on our account. Many of us do understand the language and went to school beyond the fifth grade. Also, I dare say that Wes and the rest of the staff have been doing an excellent job before you joined and will do just as well after.

    In this case, it has roughly the same meaning as foster (I.e., "foster a sense of cooperation between nations") - basically to promote/develop

  • First - Watch your language. Won't be tolerated here.

    Second - Fight On? Are you a UT fan or a USCw fan? Just curious...

    Third - I HIGHLY doubt that a person with the combination of your intellect, ego, and tactless tongue will survive very long here because you clearly have no concept thus far of the social norms that regulate this board. That being said, I desperately hope that you do. If you can conform to the preexisting mores, someone like you could actually be an asset to a board rather than a pariah. Consider it.

    Fourth - Please don't bring baggage from other boards to this site. We pride ourselves on NOT having drama here. Leave it behind and take this as an opportunity to start fresh with a new community. We'll give you that opportunity. You have to take advantage of it. Learn from the unsuccessful interactions of yesterday.

    Last - Drop the persona. We don't want to interact with your internet presence. We want to interact with you. This isn't the WWE. We don't need anyone to stir the pot. Our board doesn't need your assistance in being the best UT board on the net. It already is.
