On our last touchdown drive we ran the ball at will. We threw the ball 5 times and ran the ball 8. At that point we had more rushes than passes at that point. We get the ball back w/ 7 minutes left in good field position and momentum. We start the drive off with a 2 yd run followed by a 9 yarder by Neal. First down, and we're rolling again. They know we are going to run, and yet they are not stopping it. Hell, the had both safety's deep basically asking us to run the ball. So what does Chaney do? He reverts back to his usual self and abandons the run and starts to throw the ball on every down. On our last 10 plays we ran the ball only twice and threw the ball eight times. Both drives ended in turnovers. I dont understand even throwing the ball at this point. At this point in the game it is 4 down territory which makes it a given to stick with the run. There is absolutely no reason the throw the ball until they show any kind of ability to start shutting it down, which they didn't, they actually appeared to be wearing down a bit. I mean they were absolutely telling us we are not giving up the long pass downfield because they knew Chaney would abandon the run at some point. Just a shame, with the way the offensive line played. They dominated the Georgia front 7 and we did not take advantage of it.
