Kiffen did what he said though (at least in terms of building a team that thought it could win). Let's face it, we won the Alabama game 3 times - that wasn't his fault no more than TB pasting more points on Georgia and SC than any other teams and still losing. CDD never had the buyin of the players from my perspective - I previously had very good inside info the the Vols teams under Fulmer through an associate at work, however, I am like the remainder of the world now - I live in Washington DC suberb and I can only know what I read her and on GVX. They just didn't look like they could win to me. If we had run the ball a few more times per game, especially down the stretch when we would throw every single down, etc. but that was lack of coaching. We might not have the greatest RBs, but they are not so bad as to run 1 yard plays occasionally. Then it spirals - TB let us down again by having another interception after the 15th straight pass play, and it was also 4th and long. Again, no one will know until the season starts, but I think you will see a rejuvenated team in terms of having a winning attitude. Franklin did it at Vandy, and it is harder there than here. Even in FL, 2 years ago, the Gators looked LOST. Last year, even with crappy QB, they LOOKED like they thought they could win. Just my thoughts. I was actually of the mind to bring Fulmer back for a season or two to get the program back on its feet, and I think it would have worked, but I think this is a better place for us to be. (Disclaimer: I believe CPF went at the right time, just not the right way. I thought LK could but didn't stay and his defense looked miserable or so I thought until last year. CDD seemed to be able to recruit, but could NEVER coach. So painful. We know CBJ can coach from his past history, just not in the SEC). One other thing - Chaney was very one dimensional, seemingly a QBs coach. I thought, overall, last years coaching staff was good but for Sal. I don't think a second year would have turned the corner on that one, but with Chaney as OC, you either were 3 and out or scored in 2 minutes, so defense never rested, which only magnified the errors, something Dooley could have slowed down to minimize the time they were on the field. We will be better this year.

I'm not bashing CBJ. That is my reasoning for being cautious and wanting to wait and see how he does first. Whats wrong with that? Please tell me.

My bad.... Just happy to have a more positive outlook and a team that will have a coach who thinks we can win.
