I got killed for posting this after the orange and white game, do you guys still feel the same way about Bray?

I don't mean this as an "I told you so" post or a defense of Dooley, but looking back at UF, UGA, MSU, and now Missouri, I think Bray has consistently gotten outplayed at the end of games by the opposing QB.

Maybe it is coaching. Maybe it his make up. Just curious what the board thinks with two games left.

Maybe its a little of both. I understand what you are talking about. Late in the game its almost like Bray either shuts down or loses his focus a bit.

I think the biggest problem this year has been poor game management and the defensive game planning has been terrible. It's sad the offense can put up 35 points and still lose. But on the other side late fumbles and interceptions don't exactly show he (Bray) is good under pressure either.

I think physically and in terms of potential Bray could be great. But was anyone else not surprised that his team lost? I might be over thinking it, but I just don't think he's a winner. Looking back at the past two years, he just hasn't won close games.

I have had the same thoughts about Bray. Great arm talent. Hasn't delivered in the clutch.

  • I'm not blaming bray for the losses, clearly the D has been horrendous.

But before the Troy game, we had not scored on a drive in the 4th quarter where a TD would have tied or given us the lead. We were something like 0-16 with 8 3 and outs. That is not the defense, that is the offense not being able to produce in crunch time.

For one, some wins in a close game when the ball is in his hands. After all, it's not like he has no one to throw it to.

  • The problem on Saturday is that we didn't score a point after a TD with a little over 8 minutes to go in the 3rd. It's like they put it on cruise control. I've said all season that it seems like any chance our offense has to take a lead or extend the lead (exception Troy) late in the game, they fail to do so. Often resulting in turnovers or quick three and outs.

  • Bray was having an excellent game up until he got hit while completing a pass. At that time I thought to myself how great it was to see Bray stay focused and in the pocket and completing a pass when he knew he was gonna take a hit. After that, any time he saw pressure he looked a little hurried to get rid of the ball. This is not a Bray bash. He has more talent than 95% of all college QB's and he has shown some maturity as of late. But I still think he's got some more growing to do when he's being pressured. I'd like to see him stay around another year and complete that maturation.

  • Don't blame the player. Blame the coach. The team simply doesn't know how to win bc CDD doesn't.
