I saw a post on twitter that that was retweeted or tweeted hell i dont who originally posted it. But it was announcing that Kansas State was currently ranked 8th in the Big12 in their recruiting class which made me again realize how much of an effing joke these recruiting rankings are. Bill Snyder and many other staffs have consistently outsmarted these so called "experts" year after year. The only way from now on I will get judge any class and as limited as it can ever be is by "are these who we really wanted" rankings be damned. Case in point last years first round was split 50-50 in 4-5 star and 3 star lower. UT will stack up very nicely in first and second day talent in the '13 draft and what did that get us? 6-7, 5-7, 5-7. I WANT WINNERS. What it comes down to is finding a class with a mix of stars and program players that will mesh to make the sum greater than the parts. You have to find kids who are TN kids in TN, and in faraway places and nearby, just get them. B/c these rankings are soo limited. I will go ahead and guarantee kids like Josh Smith, Brett Kendrick, Austin Sanders will be guys who will be remember once their careers are over. Now as for the higher profile guys I will say Bell, North, and Lawson will pan out great by how hard we have targeted and how long we have targeted them. But I will not cry over Green, and the laughable crying of Hoke's pigass. Sorry for the long one, but I will no longer get and high and low over the recruiting national championship, I will take a class of 3 stars who are winners and produce winning teams. Tyler Bray is a 5 star talent who will NEVER win. You just watch he will be a disappointment on sundays as well...how many big arms who couldn't win a big game in college panned out in the the league. Josh I dont even know his last name anymore for Tampa?
