I don't know if Gruden was the best option for us are not. His record in the NFL was just 100-85. He is suppose to be this big competitor. Then he runs away because he will only get 20 hours a week practice. That's all anyone gets. If he is such a competitor I would think he would want to prove he could do better with his 20 hours than others can. Everyone in the NCAA has the same rules, not much of a competitor IMO.
Hart should be fired for letting this Gruden thing get so big. He should have been playing it down all along. Now whoever he selects will have most of the fan base against him. He may have trouble getting anyone to take the job the way he has set them up.Casvol31

Doesn't the bible teach us patience and that all things will pass?
It's not Hart that let this thing get out of control, it's us on this message board. This Gruden deal is only a big deal to those of us on this board. The Tennessee fans that I know who do frequent message boards barely know what's going on. To them nothing is out of control.

I disagree with you brother. That's what fans do, talk about what they like or want. What good leaders do when they see thing going the wrong direction is take action. He should have talked to the press. He should have called Wes and Hubbs in and said we haven't talked yet help me out here. Several Bible verses come to mind, but I'm not going to preach here. If I lead my church the way Hart has led the UT nation the last few weeks I am sure God would have fired me.

What wrong direction? What does your bible say about rumor mongering? It's one thing to speculate and listen to rumors on a sports board and another thing all together to call for a man to lose his job because he didn't satisfy yours and others desire to know. As for the several verses your not going to share with us let me make a suggestion from the Gospel of Matthew "be wise as a serpent but gentle as a Dove". That seems to fit what Hart is doing. Is his obligation to finding the right man the right way or satisfying those who can't stand not knowing and getting their speculations confirmed. Is he perhaps maintaining silence for confidentiality reasons? I have to say I am disappointed in your reaction. But that's just me.
