My guess is Hart is doing all he can so Fulmer can have his night. After the way Hamiliton handled letting Fulmer go I hope Hart can hold off until tomorrow before any announcement is made.

If it is Strong I hope he does very well at UT, but Hart did not get his man that he sought after so in reality Strong is a last resort hire for Hart. But hopefully Strong comes in and recruits well and has a good team by year 3. Next year and I don't care who they brought in is going to be a 6-6, 7-5 year for any new coach even if it would have had been Gruden. I just Strong stays and coaches the bowl for Louisville he owes that much to those kids there at that school.

Okay...I don't agree at all. Last resort hire would be if Grundy, Strong, and or Fedora all turned us down and we hired whoever else leftover.

Gruden Stoops and Fisher were his top three choices I like Strong as well but he wasn't one of Hart's top three. So by saying last resort I was meaning in the second three of Gundy Strong and Fedora geez chill. I want him to succeed and bring UT back to the top just saying he wasn't in Hart's top bracket of HC

I agree with VFLGBO. Strong isn't a last resort hire at all. I think we all should have known that Stoops and Fisher were not feasible options. Gruden should have never been mentioned. Besides, I think Strong will be a better hire than at least Fisher. Gruden would have bolted for the NFL after a season or two and we would be back doing this all over again.
I think Strong will be the best long term coaching option for UT. Impossibly better than Gundy and I was not sold on Fedora.
It's going to be a new era in Tennessee football

Strong is a great hire if it happens. Defense will be very good in a short time.The real question is the offensive coordinator. If he brings in the right guy, look out.

Not even close to a last resort. Great hire and no way he coaches the bowl game. Need to start recruting for the Vols on Thursday.
