If the Vols ever take the field in some of these "costumes"

  • I may have to rethink my allegiance to the Big Orange! Some of the uni design are impressive, but the Vols' not so much.

  • Leave these designs on the drawing board or better yet lose them all together. Love the checkerboard but there are some places they just don't belong. Thanks for the view of these but now my eyes hurt!

  • Viking, I kinda like the different look. Hey it will never happen those are Nike and don't ever see us making a jump to them. But bringing in the sky blue and the checkers is a neat idea. And besides that it is not even close the the Maryland Uni's last year that my son loved because they looked like the Joker.

    I love the fact that the Power T on the Helmet was the same and the rest hey it is the sign of the times. Looked good imo

  • There are a couple that look pretty good Jdb, but I must be too old of a traditionalist . . . simply do not like the checkerboards on the uniforms.

  • Viking, I hear ya. When I first saw the sky blue I was like no way then when I got to the one with the number solid as sky blue I tought that is not so bad. Look it is part of the game now, half the people hated the MD uni's and when the kids started talking about it they loved em. Times have changed and really I just want the Vols to produce, if they are white on white or orange on orange I don't care I just want a team that wants to play for the Vols!

  • I like the white pants with VOLS up the side. I think the black jersey design is uninspired. They could have incorporated "Rocky Top" in that.

  • The sky blue really needs to be left for the women's teams IMO. It doesn't look right on the football uniforms at all. The only uniform I like is the one on the right side of the "Vols Alt" graphic. Anyone else notice those were Nike uniforms?

  • The only one of those that I like is the orange jersey with white numbers that have the white pants with the checkerboard stripe going down the leg...The Blue ones are the worst, by far the worst..I would be pissed if they ever thought about putting that Lady Vol blue in our football unis.

  • Those are terrible. The only time I would want to see anything different is if we did a throwback like we did against UNLV back a few years ago. I for one am proud Tennessee hasn't given in to the "times". Tradition still means something!

  • As a previous thread pointed out, we will be lucky for Adidas to get our orange right. I don't think we need to worry about them trying to design creative uniforms as I don't think they have the ability. Now if we switch to Under Armour or Nike then we have a different story!

    Please leave the UNIFORMS ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are not Oregon, we have been in the same uniforms for years. The schools with tradition do not have gimmicky uniforms. The day Tennessee does, the Vols will lose 100 plus years of tradition.

    The pants are the only thing I liked! Too much checkerboard! I loved the shirts they wore under the jersey towards the end of the year though!

    Sky blue needs to go, period. Still waiting on North Carolina to return the favor and put some UT orange on their unis.

  • I was there a couple years ago when Tennessee played USC (e) on Halloween and the black jerseys came out. Neyland Stadium erupted when they ran out. So a change in uniforms can get the players excited and get the fans excited. However, these ideas look awful.

    Classic uni's over these concepts any day!

  • I know those uniforms were just mock ups, but for conversation, I would say that if Tennessee did change the uniforms then it should be a simple change. I would put the black tops with the white pants that have the stripes or the ones that said "Vols." the checkerboard pattern and the blue are too much. Personally, I would love it if they just threw in the black jerseys from 09 into the regular rotation. If they are winning games, then I wouldn't care if they showed up wearing Maryland's helmet, a Boise top and Clemson's purple pants.

    Traditional White Pants with the two stripes home and away. Only wear the all orange uni's when playing non-conference schools. No more orange pants on the road. Only at home agains non-conference opponents.
