Assuming a lot of the information swirling about a Gruden announcement coming this week was true, I think it would be more than ideal if Dave Hart worked it out to have Gruden announce his move ON Monday Night Football.
Once again ASSUMING Gruden took the job, he would have to sign off/inform viewers that it was indeed his last MNF telecast /w Tirico and that his season was being cut short. How amazing would it be if Hart or whatever powers that be were able to pull some strings and have Gruden announce it DURING the telecast?
Tirico: "So Coach, you have something to tell us?" Gruden: "Well Mike, I'm going to be taking my talents to the University of Tennessee. They got a lot of tradition over there, what with the Peyton Mannings and the Al Wilsons and I'm just excited to get started."
Talk about a public relations dream come true. How many recruits (commits and non-commits) watch MNF every single week?
Just saying: I think it would be a brilliant behind-the-scenes move and honestly, very plausible as well.
