I almost regret typing this already, but the way people are taking sides about Pearl reminds me a bit of Fulmer when his (very different) struggles started. I hope this one has a better ending.

Before Pearl UTBB was a mess but that doesn't give him a pass on lying to the NCAA. You have to sratch your head as to WHY he lied, it makes no sense to lie about the phone calls, the BBQ at his house. The worry is that there may be more then just phone calls and BBQ's

And so you advocate firing him before everything is known? That makes no sense to me.

I don't think there's anything else since Hamilton seemed pretty sure of it. The only concern I have is that if you can believe Hyams, the hold up on signing the contract is a clause that Bruce can be fired for a future major violation. Since I don't expect him to commit any going forward, I don't get the hang up on this.

Maybe the contract is written in a way that he's responsible job-wise if an assistant commits one & that's the issue to Bruce. I guess we'll see. I'm for sticking with Bruce even if he gets a year's vacation.

I don't think he should get a raise purely on the basis that he had violations. Look if he consistently takes us to the sweet 16 or elite 8 I think people will support him. He definitely needs to go if we lose and not make it past the first round two years in a row. I think he has 2 years regardless. He has done a lot but he has also raised the status quo. We want championships now.
