Ohio head coach John Groce is expected to be named the next head coach at Illinois tomorrow.

Agree and Painter would have to have a few bad seasons to loose his job. He's done pretty good over the last few years.

Illini-world is up in arms too. Comically bad hire for a supposed "big program". Chicago HS coaches are laughing and making statements, "If this John guy is the coach, he ain't getting any of our kids."

Time for Cuonzo to raid Chicago? Obviously we don't have any spots for this year, but does he have a chance to establish something based on his reputation there?

Chievous is from the Chicago area so maybe we already have some connections in recruiting that area. Hope he is the first of many good recruits.
