Forty-five people voted. This minute, there are 533 people on this board.
People who post on boards actually tend to be more negative than most others. Our board is unusual because we do have many outspoken, positive, pro-Tennessee people who support the program and its leaders through thick and thin. A lot of us have been around through even darker times, if you can believe that. We know that college football is not a static, that teams, programs and coaches evolve, and brighter days lie ahead for Tennessee.
I would bet that a healthy percentage of those 533 are for Tennessee, no matter what. Most of them just don't feel like going public with that support and get blasted by the other faction.

So if I don't want to keep Dooley I'm not pro-Tennessee? I assume you're not saying that. A UT wife with two degrees from UT, two UT degrees myself, an annual gift agreement, etc. later, I love this school and it would be a surprise to me that I'm not pro-Tennessee. Honestly, I believe that Dooley is trying, but unless he is able to win out, I believe bringing him back would do more harm than good not only to the team, but also to the school which depends on the success of the football team for marketing and a host of other things. It also hurts other athletic programs which depend on football money for funding.
I assume that you want Dooley to come back because you believe it benefits TN for him to do so. Those that don't want him back are most likely of the opinion that bringing him back would not benefit the University of Tennessee. To me, everyone, irrespective of where you side, is pro-Tennessee. You seem to think differently about those that disagree with you on a friggin football coach. Your definition of "Pro-Tennessee" excludes not only rabid fans that didn't matriculate there, but love UT still the same, but your definition equally excludes people who have spent and continue to spend alot of money supporting their school academically and athletically. Smh.

It is generally accepted that if Dooley wins out, he stays. Hart has said he is looking for improvement, and 7 wins is a definite improvement over 5. This is the record many rational fans, and even the rational non-fan Wes, expected going into this season.
You can't have it both ways. Tennessee finishes 4-0 and the coach gets fired? I just can't see it.
