With Tennessee now turning most of its attention to the 2014 class, here’s an early look at some of the in-state junior prospects who already are on the Vols' radar.

Hey Ryan, I noticed Andy Eddins is one of the Rhree Knoxville Players listed on the recruiting board but not on your list? Is he not on Tennessee''s Radar?

  • It will be embarrassing to get beaten by OSU and others for our best players. We can't make them stay but we need to cater to them as well as we can. Our coaching staff needs to get commitments to show that they are doing as they are saying. We need to get Hurd, Kelly, Malone, Gaulden, Bars, P. Wilson and E. Smith for a start. We have to show these guys we cannot succeed unless we get them. We need for this state to think of our state universities first. Even if they do not go to UT Knoxville, go to Vanderbilt or UTM.

  • What strikes me is that there is one 5 star and about four 4 star athletes. Maybe a few more but certainly not anywhere enough to build a recruiting class. It makes common sense that you are not going to get all of them even with an in state focus. So Jones and his coaches need to do a better job connecting with the parents or kids than this past class. Good Luck! I am on the fence but think that there are fundamental recruiting problems with this coaching staff. They are all probably nice people but still they have to sell themselves to these kids first and foremost.

Is there a way to link an archive page to the main menu? This would be a great story to revisit over the coming months. +1

You can save it in your favorites in your browser. Or, you could search four in-state juniors and I bet it would come up pretty quickly.
