Jimbo Fisher was believed to be one of Dave Hart's top targets - if not the top target - to replace Derek Dooley. Is Fisher still in the picture?

It's Gruden til there's a press conference from Hart introducing someone else. Smoke n mirrors from get go to protect Jon from espn contract wording that could jeapordize guaranteed money they owe him for rest of MNF season. Strong was interviewed to satisfy the non binding pledge by he AD's to interview a minority ( which if its not Gruden I would love Strong) .

I know he's no the top guy right now, but I'd seriously consider Charlie strong. Great coach who wants back in the SEC, and considers UT an elite job.

yep, and Santa Claus lives in the north pole, and a fluffy white Bunny brings colored eggs in baskets on Easter. So just keep believing. I gotta go now, my unicorn is waiting to fly me home.

The guy is an offensive coach that can't score more than 21 on GA Tech which is one of the few defenses worse than ours. MTSU scored 40 on Ga Tech.
He gets 4 star players that don't get coached up. This is their first BCS in about 3 years. With that talent? We dodged a bullet on this one.

Fisher was/is my top choice, but if he doesn't want the job so be it. Strong was/is second on my list. I think it's time to pull the trigger and get Strong to Knoxville. He's a much better fit for the SEC than Gundy will ever be. If not Strong, I'd like to see Fedora.
If, as it seems, Fisher was the guy Hart was waiting to talk to, and he's not interested in the job, it's time for Hart to pull the trigger and hire someone in the next three or four days.
