I agree anything else is the B team and if Strong is the hire put a fork in UT football cause it is over.

In fact the more I think about it, the more I think there are similarities between Urban Meyer and Charlie Strong.

Hear me out.....

Two big questions/knocks on both:

1) Can he recruit?
2) He's playing a weak schedule in a weak conference.

Meyer turned out to be a very good recruiter. His success from the lower conference was a good indicator of his ability to succeed in the SEC.

You see, as it turns out, its easier to recruit to Florida/Tennessee than Utah/Louisville. Every single advantage is stronger. Strong isn't pulling a top 30 class to Louisville? In the Big East? Shocking!! Meyer wasn't exactly swimming in 5 stars in Utah.....

There are major differences too....

- Meyer had longer, sustained success in multiple stops than Strong has shown. He also played weaker competition.

- Strong has successfully recruited the SEC at multiple stops.

- Meyer had a system that was considered gimmicky. Strong has proven successful as a coordinator in the SEC.

I'm in no way saying Strong would win multiple championships if he came to UT. He may turn out to be a bust in the long run. The lack of a lengthy track record is the scary part, IMO.
