Is anyone else impressed?

  • By the work ethic in recruiting and ability to secure official visits from some big time prospects? So far I am happy with the energy of the new staff.

  • Yes, I just hope we are able to close the deal on a few more 4 star and a 5 star or 2.

  • Closing the deal is obviously the most important thing. It's going to be interesting to see if having all of those highly rated recruits here at the same time can somehow inspire them to try to come together and turn it around.

  • Absolutely impressed. After reading about The work ethics of Jones, Stripling & Azzanni taking no time off after their seasons ended, these guys are doing the best they can under the circumstances. I'm pretty confident they'll convince a few that UT is their best option.

    Absolutely. These guys are busting their tails right now. The fact that guys like Carl Lawson are giving serious interest to a program in the midst of its 4th coaching change in 6 seasons is quite telling. I don't think too many coaches could keep UT in strong contention with the MarQuez Norths, Derrick Greens, Reuben Fosters, Carl Lawsons and Alvin Kamaras of the world considering our situation. Not to mention being able to flip guys like Jenkins and Foreman who were committed to much more stable programs. Most recruits from the outside would probably view our program as a burning building ready to collapse, instead they're embracing the opportunities for early playing time and a lasting legacy that they could have here. That says a lot about a coach and his staff. I give Butch an A+
