You can't take a knife to a gun fight, and expect to win. That's what we do week in and week out defensively, and anyone who doesn't see that is blind!

I agree we are not there with our roster, but you can't say he's calling good games. He's just not. With Wilcox Dooley no doubt keeps his job. Not saying he's for sure fired but this guy is not helping him keep it.

No way we'll know about Sal unless he gets a second year, but this I do know--this is likely, at least, the worst defense for a single season in UT history. The numbers are simply astonishing.
Because we've had a good (although we need a new, ahem, CLUTCH for it!) offense, and thus have only suffered a single blowout to the best team in the country, just how bad our defense has been ironically hasn't been as glaring as it would have been if we had lost all our losses by, say, 21 or more points.
Doesn't matter, though. Bad is bad on D, and we're not getting better; we're getting worse (I originally typed "worser" there. Freudian slip?
