Somehow I don't think Hart had Butch Jones in mind when he spoke of returning UT to its righteous spot in the SEC!!
Boosters should start picking up phones and dialing.

I'm not quite old enough to have fully appreciated his talent, but I love playing him in Super Tecmo Bowl and all the footage/articles I've ever seen/read of the guy lead me to think he might've been the greatest athlete in the past 30 years.
I don't think he'd take the UT Head Coach job though...

hahaha! Yea I don't think he's coming to the rescue. Also IMO there's no argument he was the greatest athlete in the last 30 yrs.......maybe ever!!

I don't know if it would affect much now but it is something to think about. Bama got turned by Rich Rod and the boosters stepped in and said its time to get out of the way and let us handle this. I could see our guys doing that as well, unfortunately there's not a Nick Saban caliber guy out there for them to go get. However Roman and Hue Jackson are both worth contacting and I think would be good hires as well.

When I see all these people talking about boosters paying a lot of cash for the new HC, and I realize that many of these are the same people who will not pay to go to a game until the program gets better, I realize one simple truth -
It's a lot easier to spend someone else's money than your own.

For the record . . . . I attend games and want my kids (3) to attend too. . . . for a long time to come
Reality is that the boosters are the enablers in all this.

What I meant was the big money boosters step in and run the coaching hire. I don't think money is the issue...do you?

unbefreakingbelievable. I don't care what the truth of the behind the scenes is, Hart/Cheek look like morons out in public-land with all the rumors. The guys paying the bills should have quarterbacked this thing the whole way.
