Shurbutt was on Bill King's show on Thursday and got a question about Hurd. Basically it sounds like another Vonn Bell deal. If we can show improvement this season and demonstrate that we are on a winning path then we should have the inside track on Hurd. Otherwise he might end up being Vonn Bell's teammate. King brought up the change at RB coach but that impact wasn't taken seriously since there is 11 months to NSD. To provide a blinding glimpse of the obvious - recruiting is much easier and more fruitful when the team is winning. There is an awful lot riding on CBJ and this year or we could be average for a while.
