A tight end from Santa Ana (Calif.) College who played college volleyball before switching to football this year already holds a few offers, including one from Tennessee.

This one is intriguing. Obviously he has not received a lot of attention from big time programs, but the fact that both the former and current UT staffs were recruiting him has to mean something about this kid. Do we know anything about what he's done on the field? Is he more of a receiving or blocking TE? Seems like there is nothing out there about him. Would be a great story if he turns out to be a really good player.
I see this guy lining up at WR some..
Seems kinda odd that we would invest that much energy to beat out the likes of Fresno State and Stony Brook for this guy. Maybe he's a diamond in the rough and we're just on the cutting edge of recognizing talent. Hope this class pans out, but I'm getting a little bit nervous about it.
Here is some highlights..
Either this website doesn't exist or is not currently available.
Looks like a very good athlete, with TE size, at a position of need. Gonna have to take some chances like this, and apply some coaching....
Looks like he has good hands and athletic and does not mind blocking. Also looks like he plays in an spread type offense which should help him. Athletes that are good at other sports that can catch the ball have really good potential at TE, not to mention 6'6 250 is good size coming in.
If he played vollyball he is agile. If he can block and catch he could be a big unexpected grab. He has the physical stats.

Just an fyi the link works even though it says unavailable
Could be the next Danny Farmer:
As you will see Farmer didn't have eye popping stats for a FBS college WR his senior year of high school (a modest 43 receptions). Farmer turned out to be a beast at UCLA.
Ryan, what'd you guess his speed might be? From watching the highlights I'd put him around 4.8 to maybe 4.6..........that RB looked considerably faster to me. All that considered though I think the guy has the potential to be very good. Hasn't played a lot of football since he was a freshman in high school. If Lawson can mold him into a better athlete and Elder coaches him up.....Lots of ifs....Are we in on any 5* TE's? More proven TE's?
HMMMMMMM!!!! We have to believe the coaches know what they doing. It would have been nice if he had 3 yrs to play two allowing more time for acclamation to the program.
