Three-star tight end/defensive end Chauntez Jackson of Inglewood (Calif.) High School said Tuesday night that he has decommitted from Tennessee and committed to Houston.

I really do feel for the young man, but everyone should realize that this is the business of college football. Limited scholarships, limited numbers of visits, academic risks, etc. I wish Jackson the best. Vols!!

Agreed. I'd be fine with our TE class this year. You got 2, that will give us 4 on the roster for next year with an option to move Croom there...
Butch needs to get us some OLB's, and DE's.

yup..... Agreed.....
Another interesting point is that just about everyone else is recruiting him to play DE.....
I don't think he would have been a good fit for us, considering the fact we already have two TE commits that are being recruited by other schools strictly as TEs....
I wish Jackson the best of luck, but its pretty obvious UT wasn't a good fit for him and he isn't a good fit for UT....
With that said, I'm happy to have the extra OV and scholarship available for someone that is a better fit for our system....
