    Ok guys little inside info,im friends with jalens uncle and granddad.his granddad says that he is ours to lose.kid and family are all vol fans.the only reason he had osu and bama out front was because he felt like Dooley wasn't showing him he really wanted him,at least not on the level Saban and urban were.he was happy to see us make a change and Cbj has made a good first impression on him.just wanted to share what I was told.hopefully butch can seal the deal.

    I know him to, and he really likes both Urban and Saban too. He especially likes Meyer. He will be a fight to the finish.

    Not at all.i played ball and went to school with his uncle and my best friend works with his granddad. i honestly think he would prefer to go to ut.he would have been favoring tennessee all along but felt like he was being neglected by Dooley.hopefully butch will show him just how much we Need him.

    blanklocowhat was dooley thinking like honestly? what was he hoping for recruiting wise that the kids would recruit themselves?

    i dont know jalen personally but just thought i would share what was told by granddad.what are you hearing as far as tennessee goes?

  • Hurd leans heavily toward THE Ohio State University currently, partly due to his mother's choice. Seems Urban has already made an impression with his family, much like he did Vonn Bell.

    I've seen him play, and he's exceptional. Tall kid. Reminds me more of a Marcus Allen-type runner.

    Still, the '14 class is shaping up as a target-rich environment. Lots of decent RB's emerging, especially in the SE region. If I'm not mistaken, CBJ has already offered Ferby from Ensworth...and he's pretty impressive as well. Seems like some others have been offered too, so all would not be lost unless we didn't sign any, I'm thinking.

    I agree with this. We need to have a 60 minute like sit down, with Rucker hosting and interviewing. Confront him with what we've been hearing from recruits like Vonn Bell and in-state coaches and let him explain what his grand plan was. I was a pro-Dooley guy and I argued for him to stay, but what was he doing?

    hes gonna say something to the likes that the staff didnt want them or something or go on a twenty minute analogy story that no one understands when he gets done talking like the Rommel story haha

    Sadly, I think he shared the mentality that I've had since my earliest memory: What in-state athlete would not want to don the Orange and run through the T? With the proud tradition, history of winning, NFL pipeline, facilities second to none, and the passionate fan base, It would seem to be a no-brainer that any student athlete born and raised in Tennessee would certainly sign with the Big Orange.

    Add in the fact that his last name is of SEC Legend, and I think he felt all he had to do was to make an offer and the players would come. It worked with a few, but the on-field results and tenacity of the rival coaches were overpowering.

    Thankfully, Coach Butch Jones is showing that in addition to the great lore of UT Football, it is also going to take a lot of hard work to bring the kids to the Hill.

  • We need 3 RB's in this class as crazy as that sounds its really not that crazy. I really like Paulk, he is a cheese look alike, 5'9" 195lb who has very strong lower body and keeps pumping his legs...never stops, has good wiggle and hips and can cut and accelerate out of his cuts. Give that kid a good diet and a lot of personal training and he will be a bowling ball as a soph/jr...Hurd is another guy who will be a monster in a CFB program, he'll be 235lbs and be running away from DB's, I bet the Butcher is all over him. Great lean, burst and long speed...more of a pure downhill back who will start day 1 and get bigger and better as he gets older. His Jr year would be 2016, if he and the legeceys sign with the Vols, I predict he will be the MVP of the national championship game.
