Tennessee junior right tackle Ja'Wuan James' performance this season has led to some speculation regarding his future with the Vols, and James has heard all about it.

  • As good as the O Line is this year, i cant help but think how dominant they would be next year if everyone returns.. Would love to have James back anchoring down that line. Whatever he decides, I'll be a fan of his.

  • Just think how incredible next year could be if everyone stayed. I think we'd definitely be making a trip to Atlanta in December.

  • I hope he stays but I would not blame him for leaving--be a broke college kid or become a professional and make millions in the NFL.

  • Would love to see him stay, but I love the fact that UT has so many kids being considered NFL material. Quite a change from last year...

  • We have so many kids that will have to make the decision to stay or leave for the NFL after this season... it's frustrating that we lost good games to Florida and Georgia cause we might not have these guys back next year... Wes what's your confidence level in Justin Worley and the receivers behind Patterson and Hunter? I fear we may struggle to reload on offense... (losing Rivera too)

Rogers will have to be replaced as well so we will be losing our top 4 receivers (including Riveria). I hope our November stretch affords us the ability to get more of the freshmen involved. Vincent Dallas, Carter, and Brendan Downs will be the top returning receivers as it stands now. IMO- Bray could benefit the most from coming back and spending another year under Chaney but you have to think he would also factor the "rebuilding" of the WR corp.

That being said, having 4 guys drafted in the top couple of rounds will undoubtedly help with recruiting. And Da'Rick will go high as well which will give Tenn more exposure. I'd expect alot footage from his sophmore year at UT would be used when profiling him for the draft, ect. So I have mixed feelings about whether they all stay or go.

One caveat - If we go 7-5 with 4 first rounders in the draft - questioning of Dooleys ability to coach given that kind of talent will reach a new level.

  • Wes - is it common for Oline guys to leave early? Especially ones that are true juniors?

Also- it feels like talk has increased about McCullers stock in the draft. Are you hearing anything as to him leaving early?

  • If everyone returned next year? That team could make a national title run. Every single one of the NFL potentials would simply increase his draft spot and paycheck. But there's the risk of injury too and losing that chance. In the end, who can blame a young man for getting paid when he can?

But I do dream about all the juniors returning AND adding Derrick Green to the package. WOW!!! Who can blame an older man for dreaming??

  • Bullard or Kerbyson or Posey at RT in 2013 is not my favorite thought right now but at least we have 3 potential guys to battle for it.

Its amazing we could have 5 guys go high in the NFL draft (and then add Da Rick somewhere in there).......Fulton prob could go in the top 4 rds too.
