There has been several times where the recruit "absolutely loved" Jay and chose a different school.
I said two months ago that Hinshaw was our best recruiter from the previous staff and I stand behind this.

My goodness. The only reason the top running back was considering us was because of coach graham. He doesn't deserve a lick of blame. VFL

I have to admit that I had the same thought. I think at some point if you want to be considered a great recruiter and asst. coach you have to land some big fish at your position. I mentioned this to a veteran poster off the board and he reminded me that this is really Graham's first class to fully recruit (believe he was hired in Dec. 2011). I think you give him the 2014 class and then you have to question it...especially with Hurd and several others in that class. But I do share your sentiments....we at least can't call him a great recruiter at this point...but that doesn't mean he isn't good.

Why is it that someone always wants to blame somebody when something doesn't go our way? Is it arrogance that if we show a prospect attention that they should fall on their knees in awe that we want them and therefore if they end up not coming here someone had to have screwed it up? Can it not be that the guy just decided he liked MI better or that the fact we have sucked for a few years made him want to go to a place where they have had some better success? Maybe he has some family in MI? Maybe he wants to get far away enough so the Mom & Dad can't be underfoot every weekend?

not a fire graham but who has he landed?rest my case...which ford we do need to get call me crazy
ide rather have him hes played down here with all the speed and i still think hes our best option
i knowed green wasnt coming,,on his tweeter it been all about michigan,,time to move on.
graham can coach and improve anyback we have..recruiting part ..he just missed out.

We are still talking about the same coach, right? Jay Graham, the guy who landed Marcus Lattimore at USCe?
Not sure how anyone can say he can't recruit with a prized RB get like that.
It was one miss. Should we fire every assistant coach after they miss on a 5* player? And you thought we were having a hard time keeping coaches around now!
