In the most respectful way, I COMPLETELY disagree with the post!! Just to have our hat up there shows the hard work and effort Graham put into this!!! Lets flip Ford, and even if we don't, not all is lost! GBO and if you're gonna start a negative thread, put some good reasons behind your argument.

If we dont have a top running back come Feb 2014 then I believe some blame can be tossed around, but right now its way to early to play the blame game with Jay Graham.

I'll take getting called out because I don't agree with something. I don't see what's wrong with disagreeing with it. Definitely shouldn't be blamed on Jay Graham. I got him back with a +1 my bad. I apologized , just don't agree.

His recruiting has reminded me of Chuck Smiths- all the kids love him and none of the commit to Tennessee.

Jay was the primary recruiter for JRM, Paul Harris, and Riley Ferguson. I'd say that is landing some pretty good recruits.
As for RBs- we finished 2nd in both the Derrick Henry and Derrick Green sweepstakes despite back-to-back losing seasons and the head coach getting fired. Jay deserves 100 % credit for having 2 of the highest ranked RBs in the nation even considering UT.

To say he can't recruit or close is outrageous.

The OP wasn't a statement, it was a question obviously meant to open a discussion. That's what the board is for IMO. The OP never said fire CJG or that he was even to blame.

Wow, we need some wins in Big Orange Country and fast! Unless I misunderstood the question, OV79 was simply posing the question, not advocating that Coach Graham should be under scrutiny. I share in everyone's disappointment, but do we really need to turn on each other and start throwing out down votes?
Here's hoping for a strong finish without Green - there are still some BIG names remaining on the board and I hope we land some strong defensive players as well as North and possibly Ford! GO BIG ORANGE!

I cant understand the hate for his question, all he ask to me is at what point should he be expected to land a top RB for us? He is a great Vol but part of his job is to get us the best running back their is. Fair question. Maybe the word blame seemed harsh.
I think another year for sure two tops then his recruiting becomes up for debate just as any other coach. But I don't think that will be a problem for CJG!
