He had the 2nd lowest salary on new staff so more than likely it is money. But I believe Butch will make a solid hire. But this hurts. It's a shame we couldn't have paid him a little more. But I think he would have gotten a raise after this year. VFL? I mean I don't think he is starving. But if its the move he feels he needs to make then good for him! We want VFL.

First, I loved J Graham when he was at UT but folks how many top running backs did we sign in the past two years? If he was so good as a recruiter and coach why did he have the second lowest pay on the staff? I would also point out that most of the incoming staff have been together and perhaps he just didn't fit in. I don't know the answers to any of the questions but just wanted to make a few observations. Let's see who Jones brings in before jumping to conclusions

We just hired a brand new coach and new staff, there is nowhere up for CJG to go at UT right now. Coaches don't want to be position coaches their entire lives, maybe there is more opportunity at FSU to move up to a coordinator position at some point.

Better he left now than later. The sky isn't falling signing day is a year away and spring practice hasn't begun. I will miss an alum being a coach but other than that so what.

I blame Dave Hart, if he doesn't hire Coach Butch Jones, Cincy doesn't hire Tuberville, who in turn doesn't hire Eddie Gran from FSU, leaving the opening for Jay Graham to be hired at FSU.

Who do you think we will get? I don't know of any big time coaches out there that we could get? We have made a big impression on Hurd and a few other big time RBs and now he leaves. This hurts bad.
