IF true, and the UT, ahem, "negotiating team," whomever it may include, doesn't want Hart to be lynched in effigy and numerous innocent couches to burn, they had best make public exactly what those "snags" were, if they want any sympathy from the fans.

And IF it's no, they had best get the official bad word out there as soon as they can, to calm down the Gru-insanity. We've got a lot of fans who act as if they've been promised Gruden for Christmas wrapped up in a neat package under the tree (presumably, the box would have holes in it so he could breathe).

Not what we heard earlier today. Just sayin.

I would, but it's a re-run from yesterday. No one is manning the phones...

doubt we'd ever know the real truth though.. IF what Hyams says is true, and that's a giant IF, you have to wonder, was Gruden really interested? Or seeing how far he could push the envelope until a "snag" developed? Im not sure these things ever get clarified. If Gruden stays at ESPN and/or takes an NFL job, then my assumption will be that he wasnt really that serious about coming here, unless we just really low balled him, and i cant believe that would happen under the circumstances. If Gruden takes a college job that doesnt have orange for its primary color, then its a head scratcher, and profoundly disappointing unless we pull a big fish..and by big fish i mean someone like Stoops or Fisher. Then, ill still wonder about Gruden, but Ill be too busy counting our bowl wins and 5 star recruits to really care that much.
