Jones May Be What We Need

Given the fact that Gruden and co. has TURNED US DOWN. Butch Jones isn't that bad of a candidate. In fact, I think he will be a great coach if we get him. He has a great record, granted its in the Big East and MAC. Hasn't the MAC and Big East beaten some of the other top tier conferences? He also has also beaten Charlie Strong. Another good aspect that people aren't thinking about is that he will open up recruiting in Ohio again. Remember Peerless Price or Micheal Munoz? I would be interested to see who he would bring in as DC though. He is an Offensive minded coach. Here is a great clip to watch if you are not familiar with him.

Same Demeanor? Have you seen this guy? Butch shows more Intensity getting outta bed than Dooley ever showed in his life?

Jones has followed in Brian Kelly's footsteps his entire career. That doesn't mean he won't be good, especially with the right staff, but its something to consider.

He has, but as i've said several times before, just because talent is there doesn't mean you'll have success. You HAVE to be able to coach to win ball games.

Cincinnati lost alot when Brian Kelly left. There has only been one year where Jones hasn't finished 1st or 2nd in the MAC or Big East. It's kind of hard to recruit to either conference.

If you are happy at 9-3, 8-4, or 7-5. Don't see him beating Saban, Muschump, Richt, or "the visor". But an upgrade for sure.

Got to respectfully disagree on the demeanor part. I saw more passion and intensity in one three minutes YouTube clip out of Jones than I witnessed out of Dooley in 3 years . . .
