Do you really think if it was Florida that came calling, Strong would've still said no with his high integrity? He wussed out because he was scared of the challenges that UT has over the top 2 or 3 programs in the SEC, had nothing to do with integrity.

But the funny thing is you would have to do the same with Gruden, Gundy, Strong, or Fulmer...do you think a coach with a .750 winning percentage will win 75% of his games their entire career? Look at Rich Rod, situations really matter. What has he done to make you think he won't be good? Because he wasn't a world beater at Cincy and CMU? he's beaten Strong 2 out of 3...soooooooo, there's that

Now wait a daggum minute. Everybody said anyone would be better than Dooley. That includes Butch Jones, right? Are we going to pout about the next coach? Obviously our job isn't interesting to the top flight candidates so what the heck do we do?

I'll give you Florida but that is a much better job. There is problems at UT. He has a very good team, coming back, I don't fault him it's admirable...

Look at Jones. WTF is he doing going from school to school looking for the best deal. No loyalty to Cincy at all.

I believe it could be an interesting hire. I am intrigued. Jason Swain and Rucker on the radio show said that he is a Brian Kelly disciple. He is a winner and great motivator. They mentioned Ronan from the niners, and this coach as a strong, solid hire. Thinking outside the box. What say you.

Dude we had all of our guys healthy at the time and our offence was rolling. Everything is relative, as many have stated, he is winning in the BE with BE players against BE teams... It just makes sense that the same success would translate over to the SEC when he has SEC players against SEC teams. He is more successful than Strong has been as a HC. I want to add that he would not be in my top 5 but you cant deny his success.

No it wasn't but I hate how people keep saying Jones was 2-1, he had the better team IMO all 3 years, including this year.

Jones first year was a rebuilding year. Kelly's 12-0 team lost many or most of the key players to graduation. Being from CMU I know Kelly & Jones and both are great coaches. I would rather play for Jones.

Interesting. You did have a SR QB in Collaros, a stud DE in Connor Barwin, and an NFL RB in Isiah Pead. Not a terrible team. Cubbard wasn't bare.

I don't blame anyone for wanting to better themselves like Jones is doing, Cincy has promised Jones a lot of things, but have yet to deliver on most of them, so if you had the opportunity to double your salary and have one of the best work environments in the nation, would you switch jobs? And you right about UF, it is a better and easier job than UT, but Strong has stated how much he would love the opportunity to coach in the SEC, he had it and he ultimately wussed out of the opportunity of a lifetime. UT has academic problems, but it's nothing that can't be fixed within the next year.
