He is. He lost to Dooley. He rode Brian Kelly s coattails. My response is why should the fan base go to games anymore. We've sunk to an all time low.

1) You can't compare how a coach recruits at Cincy to how he could recruit at UT. Totally different animal. However, I am a little skeptical about that.
2) For those of you who keep saying he list to Dooley, that wasn't on him. Bray, Hunter, and Da'Rick were at the top of their game that day. They didn't have the talent defensively to stack up. Also, until the onside kick that was a tie game IIRC.
I would of rather had somebody else, but Butch Jones is 10x the coach Dooley was. I for one will support him if that is in fact who we go with.

How Butch Jones has a winning record percentage of 67% how is the comparable to CDD? I'll take him because he can coach and he wants to be here! Hence he turned down everyone else waiting on us!

good point and I believe you are touching on what has everyone so down...the swing from top to middle. I just think having a guy that really wants to be here and not just grab a bigger check (whether from us or somewhere else) plus his record.

I really do like the fact that he was holding out for us. It's just that he didn't have to hold out very long(if he is to be hired).

I agree I am letting out all my frusteration now, praying to god he doesn't get the job, but when he does there is nothing we can do but support him.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand y'all's reaction. Coach Jones is a great coach. He is going to be the next great coach to leave UC and have even more success at a big name program. Look at what D'Antionio did. Look what Brian Kelly is doing. I have full confidence Butch will do the same thing wherever he goes. He's a winner.
