Jones emerges as UT front-runner

Saying he is like Dooley isn't very accurate. As a head coach he's done more than Dooley, but he is a risk as he's never really been on a big stage like the SEC schedule puts you on.

He didn't. He has followed Coach Kelly, yes, but he has earned that. He will be a great coach.

I just cant get behind this.......this is the BEST we can do with 4-5M in our pockets to offer??? Wow.......our administration is who needs fired. What a joke they have turned this program into. I would 100% rather bring back CPF, Chief, Tee and Jay and call it a day. The depths that my proud alma mater has fallen makes me sick to my stomach.

Cincinnati itself might not have the reputation of a big-time program, but the coaches who come from there always seem to outperform the expectations.

You could have said the exact same thing about D'Antonio and Kelly when they left UC. But I don't think that the Spartan or Irish fans are complaining too much right now...

Hopefully he only gets a small raise by coming here (I think he salary at UC is around $1.5m) and he hires an all-star staff with UT and SEC ties.

At least he wants to be here and it's not for an increased paycheck. He could have gotten that at Purdue or Colorado. He's got HC experience and he has won. I say we give him a chance.

They seem to hire coaches that perform well as coaches in the W columns. Can't knock them for not doing their job. Can we say the same for TN?
