If he hadnt jumped ship, we would have two SEC victories this year, and the Gruden talk would not be happening. The defense is the proximate cause of this team's struggles this season, and if he were still here, Dooley would still have his job. JMO...

ya me to its seriously pathetic .... i mean just think florida would have been a total diff ball game... georgia would have been totally diff ball game.... miss st would have been totally diff......and now south car would have been diff i mean even if our defense gives up half of the points allowed we win 3 out of those 4..... i just dont understand how we are THAT bad its like we have middle schoolers going up against nfl probowlers.... and why in the hell are we stopping blitzing?!!!!! thats the only time our d is worth a shit...... i mean why do we stop blitzing ooo so our corners dont get burned .... well they get burnt anyway bring the freakin house!!!! sorry for vent just so pissed and let down once again

I get it... We have scored plenty enough of points to win some of these games. Almost every SEC game we get down 2 scores, and then every time we score to close the gap, our D lets em' come right back down the field.... Last night we had back to back nice defensive plays to make it 3rd and goal at the 26, and they just play pitch and catch for the TD like it aint sh!t. This might be the worst defense I have ever seen in Orange... Perplexing that we were younger, thinner, and BETTER, last year...

I agree 100%. We'd probably be 6-2 with even an average defense.

I agree. Don't think there's much to blame on the O this year. They have scored enough to win in all but one game. Defense allowing 37, 51, 41, 44 and 38 in our 5 losses. Learning the new scheme has been really tough, and we are very thin in the secondary.
