Why not just rotate Tiny back there with McCullars so neither of them gets too winded?

I'd much rather see him at FB. I think he would punish a few folks going straight ahead.

I want to beat them bad, too. But I still REALLY want to kick the s$@t out of Vandy.

How about having them both in the backfield and run the option? Mildcats would have so many defenders opting out they would have their scout team in by halftime. Four quarter would be 11 on 7 ball. My guess for time of possession stats would be 85+% for the Vols. Maybe even higher since our D will be running on all cylinders at the end of the season.

On the bright side there are worse things than losing to Kentucky. Losing to Appie State is worse. Hang in there big orange. It will get better.

The best way to punish Kentucky:

1. Have students bring signs indicating the overall win-loss record in the series - remind UK they will always be beneath the Vols in football. (start winning the mental advantage early on) Also have the student section hold up oversized joker cards (like you see on game shows) every time UK is on offense.

2. Place both Tiny and McCullers in the backfield and let them open their own holes for the run. Alternate those sets with 3-4 WR looks and just run all over their DL and secondary. By halftime, their DL will be beat all to hell and their secondary will feel like they ran a marathon.

3. Once the game is well in hand, let all of the (non-redshirt) players play a down or even a series or two. All they need to do is eat up the clock at that point, so the key would be minimizing any turnovers or mistakes that benefit UK. For the final series on both sides of the ball, let the seniors play, since this will be their final game in Knoxville.

4. This is probably the most important aspect: BRING BACK THE BEER BARREL!! Call it the "Root Beer Barrel" if you have to, but bring it hack!
