    It also makes a lot of sense to make the move now when the players are home for a few weeks. When Martin took over the program, it made sense to keep Wills as S&C coach because it provided some continuity for the program following a lot of turmoil and changes. Now that Coach Martin and his staff have had a year around these players, they have a better idea of what direction to go in for 2012-13 and beyond.

  • I met him once and he was very nice to me and the family, but Martin has to do what is best for the long term success of the program. I hate it happened.

  • There is no doubt that increased upper body strength on the post will help martin's defense first approach. The change, however, will sacrifice some speed in the transition game. The change seems worth it though, especially if we can find some consistency in 3 point shooting to compensate for the decrease in points scored in transition.

    What I am looking forward to most though is seeing Stokes after aim intense year in the weight room. He was a beast straight out of high school - after a year of bench presses and muscle milk, he is going to be an absolute bully on the inside. It's gonna be great to watch!
