    I dont understand why you guys are on Sal so hard. You dont have that much talent on defense to start with much less have the type guys to run our D. Sal was an outstanding coach for us and I hope if you guys do fire him we have a spot on staff for him again.

    Agree with the lack of talent on D, 2ndary is marginal at best--Coleman making the same mistakes this year that he made under the last staff, P-swag looked lost, E-gordin was playing like he did not want to be playing.

    2ndary was very sad last night. Watched it again today and still feel that way so not a knee jerk reaction.

    Poor coverage, poor tackles, and out of position again.

    Coaches can coach all week and this is a fact--players have to line up correctly and make the plays--our players are not doing either at this point and that is frustrating and who do the coaches put in? what depth do we have? the Freshman Safety was already in the game who is next? So say what you will it aint the coaches. We don't have lb depth, we don't have 2ndary depth, the DL is above average on most night and the bright spot. Only a couple of plays that the guards got out on the LB's untouched and you could tell because the 2ndary was not there to make an attempted dive at the ground or the air the RB was running through.

  • Hackburgman=I am not saying that Coaches are not respoinsible but players still have to suit up and play-- coaches can't line up correct, cant tackle, and can't put in the effort.

    1. If a player lines up wrong what can the coach do? pull him...what is he going to put in?
    2. if you dont have the bodies on the bench where you going to get the next one in line? So your answer will be recruit--well that is happening but with the mash unit we have on D at this time and I don't know the exact body count but we are down at least 4 maybe 5 players.

    Tackling--coaches can drill and talk all they want but the PLAYER HAS TO MAN UP AND DO HIS JOB--IT AINT HAPPENING we don't have the bodies to put the FOG in them that they will be sitting in the 6 inches of pine till they decide to do it the right way. Until then you have to put up with it or play the young guys--oh wait see #2 above.

    I see what you are saying, I guess the hype on the kids CDD and staff brought in or are bringing in are over hyped?

    But I would also say that knowing we are down on back ups and most good OC's are going to attack the weakness..CM with his stinger / toe issue can't move laterial and not good pass coverage, HL with shoulder and he is just not build to pass cover, 2ndary I don't know what to say there--they are not very good. AJ as we know is a talent but he can't cover a WR and that is not a knock on AJ.

    Side note when MR caught the hot read--the outside backer (Star? for bamma) ran him down--he ran past not one but two of their secondary players and he has a good 25 or 30 lbs on them. So the speed thing really showed on several plays last night.

    You're right hack, it is a joke. I love to debate, read, and analyze several different perspectives on the board for enjoyment and enlightenment. However, at the end of the day, we need to take everything among ourselves with a grain of salt unless someone is really Dave Hart on here. +1 for you my friend!
