  • Wonder how dooley would respond if Neal said Dooley was being a prima donna by spending the MSU game in the press box? I just think, now of all times, you need to be rallying the players. Team has taken it's lumps these last several games. As a coach, now is not the time to accuse players of being wimps.. Things could spin out of control rapidly if the team quits playing for Dooley. And comments like that about Neal and/or others, doesnt help. I assume Neal is doing the "Im injured" workout because he IS injured. And if being injured makes you a prima donna, that's a messed up view point.

Yeah, I personally don't think it's that big of a deal. I think everyone knows he's joking. He's not actually calling Neal a prima donna or questioning his toughness. That's just my opinion, though.

Thanks...it is hard to get things in context when just reading.

If it's OBVIOUSLY tongue in cheek, then, okay, perhaps. Im reading the quote without seeing the expression or hearing his voice. The quote makes me cringe. I just dont think there's a need to even jest about that. Cause most of the times, there's always a grain of seriousness in jokes like that. And when you are in a position of authority, there's just no reason for it. Joke about Ray's hipster glasses, or his haircut, but joking, assuming that's what it is, about a player being unable to practice because he's a prima donna is poor form. just my uninformed viewpoint. Maybe the players dig that about Dooley. I dont know. From where i sit, i just think it has the potential to send the wrong message. And this is a bad time for mixed messages..

I never have liked how Dooley calls his players out in public and to the press. If I were playing, I'd rather Dooley get onto me at practice and tell the media that the team has areas to improve on, rather than individualizing the problems to the press.

  • JMO, but I'd rather have Rajon sitting on the bench this game so that he can get healthy and return to the field and help us win the games that are winnable. Not to be a downer, It's just hard to see Tennessee being able to beat Bama this weekend with the defense playing so poor.

I tend to agree with this. The team's not winning and is probably frustrated. It's a lot harder to brush jabs like this off as jokes when you're frustrated. Especially true, if Neal wasn't there to catch the context.

  • That may be the dumbest opinion I have ever heard. If I am a human I read this and I pause about your intelligence. Are you sure you aren't a GA fan.
