Much of today's talk centered around first-year Vols cornerbacks coach Derrick Ansley, who back in the day was a very good safety at Troy — though he said one of the biggest reasons he got so many interceptions was because guys like DeMarcus Ware and Osi Umenyiora were crushing QBs in the backfield.

It's amazing guys like Ware and Umenyiora ended up at a place like Troy out of high school. Just goes to show you some guys are late bloomers. I'm guessing they played together, at least for a year or two? What a nasty D-line.

True freshman Daniel Gray continues to push Prentiss Waggner for the starting spot at cornerback, and Ansley said they'll see what the plan is for Saturday. In other words, they're not going to tell us in the media.

I'm okay with this as long as Waggner replaces Moore at safety. P-Wag is one of our most talented DB's, he's just not fast enough for corner. Not to mention he is our senior leader back there and maybe the smartest DB we have except for Randolph.
