Looking Forward to the Game.....Bama fan

  • Do you have any questions about the Bama team we'll bring saturday?

    Defense:
Very opportunistic, more turnovers than any team since saban's arrival. We aren't as big as last year or as disciplined, but we are likely still the biggest and most disciplined in the nation. We do very well against one dimensional teams.

    Offense:
Most balanced since saban has been here. AJ is a gunslinger by nature but coach has toned him down a ton. As a result he hasn't thrown an interception in nearly 300 passes.
OL is great, still reaching potential
WRs are relatively unknown but I wouldn't sleep on them
RBs are Lacy and two phenom freshmen.

We are definitely beatable, but I think it'll take a hot qb and someone has to match or exceed us in the trenches. MUST BE ABLE TO RUN DIRECTLY AT US. Despite AJ's improvement, I would stack the box and force him to beat u.

  • One thing is for sure, that 2nd play against Mizzou (that 75 yard run by Lacy), we can't allow that to happen to us, but I'm sure we will at some point in the game. Y'all's OL is really good, they block perfectly on almost every single play. I think you're right about stacking the box, but we can't leave our CBs on an island at all, they just aren't good enough to do that.

Pressure, pressure, pressure and Tyler Bray those are the 2 keys to this game IMO. Bray has to get better with his decision making, he needs to understand that we don't have to have a 30 yard play big time play on every play.

  • I'm ready to blow my censored brains out.

We are big boy fans here, we know what Bama's bringing.

It's bad enough that there are going to be 25,000 Bamers in Neyland. I just don't want to have this censored shoved in my face on a Monday morning.

Maybe a little much, but I cant say I disagree. I don't think the op has intentions of starting trouble though, but I honestly don't give a "dang" bout the whole state of Alabama.

I understand bro. Before saban got to bama I was as bitter as can be about fulmer. I hated fulmer more than auburn. Now it just doesn't matter any more.

I genuinely came over for football talk, no trash. I just wanted u guys to talk about your team and I would answer questions if u had any.

I'll take you up on it, man. How do you feel about the matchup between our OLine and y'all's Dline? Could be a really good matchup to watch, since being able to run the ball effectively will be the key to keeping the Bama offense off the field, as well keeping our own defense off the field too, haha. As you can probly tell, I'm not exactly confident in our defense's ability to play good defense for 4 quarters.

Thats what I was figuring, if it came off as I was taking a shot at you or attacking you I apologize. No hard feelings. I am looking forward to our o line vs your d line.

McCullers is a man child and I wish he was our 34. Not many DLs have been able to stop us without stacking the box because we have TEs that are basically small OL. Michael Williams usa at least 270. But again, we want to run and we will stay balanced whether the run is working or not.

Best thing is to refuse the run and try to get to ah before he can beat you. Mizzou was a lot smaller than UT. They got caught in a stunt and that's why bama had that long run.

    Just realized I misread:
Our DL is the smallest it's been in a while. We aren't small, just small relative to past years. But they do a better job at pass rushing. If you are dedicated to the run and you are really physical, i think you can run on us. If you become one dimensional in any way, saban will feast.

Our dl is usually there to gap protect. We blitz every position. I think we'll blitz ut a lot. Not just for sacks, they wil try to hit bray as much as possible.

  • This should b the best pass attack that bama has seen this year. Tell me about bray and those wrs

  • Bray has trouble reading defenses, IMO. Chaney makes some dumb calls too which doesn't help. CP is just dirty, Hunter doesn't seem the same since his injury. If Bray can stay poised and calm and confident I think we do have a chance to put up points, I just don't think our D can't stop anyone.

If im not mistaking this will be Brays first crack at Bama. Your guess is as good as anyone on how he'll hand it. Just depended on how the game unfolds to be honest. Between Chaney going all pass happy at times and Bray throwing deadly accurate at time and just completely off target at others is frustrating. I think if you guys pound Bray one of two things will happen. He'll shrink, tuck tail and run. Or he'll stand tall deliver a strike to CP for at least a TD or two. Just think he might not last a whole game being knocked to the turf. I think Worley is much better equipped this season to take over for Bray if that needs to happen. I just hope he can read Defenses better than Bray.... Seriously hate to say that about Bray, but sometimes I truly wonder.
