If it doesn't happen then we will move on. This is still Tennessee. Get somebody good and you will win here. This did not become the 8th winningest school in NCAA FBS history by accident. It is a great institution with great fans. We have top notch facilities across the board. Nothing at Tennessee when guided by a great coach leads to losing. Gruden is the best name, but I promise the world will not end of we do not land Jon Gruden. We will persevere and move forward with a plan to return this football program back to what it deserves to be. A winner! Go Vols.

Well, first of all that's not what Hubbs said. He said what he has said all along and that is "I'll believe it when I see it".

Even if all snags were removed it doesn't mean Gruden will accept the job. He could have another job offer with all snags removed as well. Or he could decide that he wants the League after all.

I never in my wildest dreams thought any Gruden deal would be announced prior to the end of the season. That would completely take away from Senior Day and I don't think anyone at Tennessee wants that to happen.

Having said the above, I think that if a Gruden deal isn't announced by December 1 then it likely isn't happening. Hart will start interviewing the A-list candidates after that date because their respective playoff games will be complete. I believe he'll move very quickly to hire the right guy because a bunch of other openings are about to happen.

So hold on for another week and we'll know by then.

Well you also need to look at the good side of this. The names being thrown out and the reports of interest with those coaches is a LOT better than four years ago.

We have a solid list of candidates that I have heard of. It's already better than hearing about a coach from Air Force I hadn't heard of and ultimately a guy from Louisiana Tech that I had to say Who the Frick is that and then convince myself that his losing record wasn't that big of a deal.

Maybe we'll even hire Dooley back! Hope not.

I suggest you guys should think about Jimbo Fisher as our next head coach and when you do think about it what good he could do at our school. I think we would be a great coach.
