I agree, and that's what makes the badge tough. You don't want to just make it a badge of text cause that can be boring, but you also want others who aren't associated with this specific board to know what it is. I think DGAtl did a good job of that.

It's certainly a small canvas to design. Anything behind the version with text is too busy to be legible.
I also liked the silhouette of the Volunteer statue, but wasn't sure on its status as university IP.

Right now my idea for the badge is the "Torchbearer" badge. It is symbolic of UT, and if you stick with the site and contribute to the board you could be considered to be "carrying a torch" for the site as well.
What do you guys think? Like the idea? Like the criteria?
I don't want it to be some crazy lofty minimums, but we want it to mean something and be a badge of honor as well.
Thoughts? Fire away.
