Mahoney meets with Kendrick

So, devils advocate, why did Pittman offer Koehler but not kendrick? Does this say something about pittmans personal eval of his talent?

Has Koehler actually committed to the Vols? My guess is that he held off from Kendrick because he is an actual commitment and Koehler is technically still "free game".

  • Good point, had not actually thought of that.

  • Man, why so many 3 star features on this site? Are there no 4/5 stars committed to UT?

Pittman is a class act for saying that. Hate that he is not on the staff anymore.

  • Numbers can be deceiving, especially when you don't play in the SEC. Just don't think they would have those numbers if they played a SEC schedule.

  • I think we have a good one in Mahoney but Pittman is a class guy, too bad he wasnt here all 3 years.

  • I feel the need to comment on Hiestand... I did some research on him a couple of years ago and his numbers are not very impressive.

The guy has never had been part of a great rushing attack, and in 18 seasons has only had three that I'd consider particularly good. In two of those cases he was taking over from another line coach, though.

I don't know what to make of his Tulane numbers, because its Tulane... but he has put up above average to good numbers regularly since he arrived at CMU in 2007.
