Manning a Bronco!!

    The Chiefs showed zero interest.

Uh...no. Both the owner and GM publicly came out and said they were pursuing Peyton. In fact, it was reported that the Chiefs were the first team to offer Peyton a contract.

  • Literally never read anything like that from Schefter or Mortenson.

Also, Broncos had injuries too...you're just looking through a little bit too much of a homeristic set of glasses. I am not a Broncos fan...I'm an impartial observer. They have talent as well. Broncos have 40 (FORTY) million in cap space STILL available. That's plenty to sign Manning and multiple weapons, even if his cap number is 20m...which it won't be.

I don't think so. Yes, I am a Chiefs fan. But I would dare anyone to tell me a team that, outside Indy, had more devastating injuries than the Chiefs.

And it is a no-brainer that Charles, Bowe, Breaston, McCluster, Moeaki, Boss, Jones and now Hillis are better weapons than anything Denver has.

  • Certainly, on paper, that group is significantly better. But I can't blame Manning for not wanting to living in KC vs his other choices. And Manning has always made the players around him better and my point was that Denver's cupboard is not bare.

Do you have any links to legitimate information that the Chiefs were very interested? And not a local sportswriters thoughts/rumors.

Here ya go. It was widely reported. I hate seeing him go tho the Broncos. Been a Chiefs fan almost as long as I've been a Vols fan. Gotta root against him now. That sucks.

what's Manning going to do tell his agent give me this or I'll go home.
He's going to be just like Eway. it's my way or no other way. I'm glad he left Indy. my colts are better off. Manning really surprised me. I hope Elway and the donkeys don't win a game.

Really? Peyton made Indy relevant again. He gave everything he had to that franchise and it was the Colts that made the decision in the end. I don't see how Colts fans can be mad. Disappointed or sad I get, but mad if you want to be mad at someone look at Irsay. Denver seemed to be where Peyton was most comfortable and I for one hope that he is successful. I'm not a bronco fan, but want to see all of the Vols in the NFL do well.

  • Well colts man I feel the same way about the colts manning didn't do this the colts did and I hope mannning wins four more super bowls and the colts win as many games as they did last year I hope luck dose not work out and the whole organation goes down hill they made a huge mistake and it's about to come back and bite them in the rear

  • I've always been kind of neutral towards the Broncos, so it won't be a tough pill to swallow to root for WHATEVER TEAM MANNING PLAYS FOR! If it had been Dallas, might have been a problem, though.

I agree - Denver is probably a better place to live than KC. And I believe Peyton could take a one legged midget and make him an All-Pro receiver.

I would have liked to have had Peyton in KC, but not at the price he was asking. I believe Denver overpaid for for a 36 year old QB, coming off his 4th(?) neck surgery and who hasn't been in a live game in over a year. The Broncos better hope Peyton does not get hurt. I don't think they have a backup plan.

You see what Harbaugh did to Alex Smith last year. Luck had Harbaugh for what - 3 or 4 years?

Luck is the real deal. The Colts decision was a no-brainer.

Ryan Leaf and Matt Leinart disagree with your analysis. No college player is a lock to be successful. When they are, it usually takes years (Alex Smith, Rodgers, etc). The reality is that most first round qb's are over rated. Ending up with a Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco is actually a good outcome.

  • Broncos signed Joel Dressen and Jacob Tamme. I think both of those are great targets for Manning
