I'm surprised you didn't mention the SEC officials needing replay to realize that Jeff Driskel stepped out of bounds FIVE TIMES on his TD run that was overturned by replay. PAH-THETIC. I'd be curious to hear Steve Shaw's comments on that one.

Come on Wes the Replacements was a funny movie. Maybe Palardy needs to smoke on the field to calm his nerves.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite features. Love it!
One point related to Coach Martin landing two 5 stars out of "West TN - the bane of UT men's basketball", you can't really lump both Stokes and Hubbs in this context. As are most West TN cities outside of Memphis, Hubbs' hometown of Newbern is unequivocally Big Orange territory. You can be assured UT is where the overwhelming majority of Dyer County residents wanted him to go. In contrast, Memphis fans do not consider Hubbs to be a hometown guy. In fact, the Commercial Appeal has not mentioned his commitment to TN.
This does not take away from the fact that Martin did an unbelievable job in recruiting Hubbs. It's just that allure of playing for Memphis does not have that hold over Hubbs as it would Stokes, J Will3, etc.

Really makes me think about the differences in the Tennessee football and basketball programs. Cuonzo Martin is all about discipline and mental toughness. Heck, I think he could probably have those kids eating glass for breakfast. Derek Dooley's football team...not so much. I feel like they would wilt if the temperature gets above 75 degrees and the sideline coolers quit working. Not tough, not disciplined. Maybe Cuonzo Martin could coach football too?

He didn't listen to me about the brown shoes and brown belt instead of white shots and white belt last year, either.
He doesn't listen to anyone but his wife on that kinda stuff.

The coaches might start promising their daughters' hands in marriage to guys who can make field goals.
FWIW, I still like to think Fulmer let Robert Peace marry one of his daughters because Peace once had 15 tackles in a win at Alabama.
